Hannover Biomedical Research School (HBRS)

The Graduate School in Hannover was founded in 2003 and with the introduction of the PhD program Molecular Medicine, the HBRS established a structured doctoral program. Two further PhD programs have since been developed: Infection Biology and Regenerative Sciences. Two post-graduate programs, a StrucMed program and two Master programs - Biochemistry and Biomedicine – complete the current range of courses on offer. The doctoral degree awarded upon successful completion of the PhD programs is the equivalent of the more traditional Dr. rer. nat. and is internationally recognized.

A special PhD program focussing on the lung will be established at the MHH in the near future. It is aimed to achieve a close interconnection with the thematically similar PhD programs of the DZL partner sites UGMLC and CPC.
