Respiratory Infections in the Winter Season 2025/26: Challenges and Strategies for Prevention

Dr. Isabell Pink will provide an overview of post-viral syndromes and Long COVID following infections with RSV, influenza, and COVID-19, addressing the underlying mechanisms as well as diagnostics and therapeutic approaches. Following this, Prof. Dr. Jessica Rademacher will present the latest developments and strategies in vaccinations against respiratory pathogens such as COVID-19, RSV, and influenza, and discuss how vulnerable groups can be optimally protected. Finally, Prof. Dr. Hortense Slevogt will conclude with a practice-oriented update on the diagnostics and treatment of seasonal respiratory infections.
