Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH)

At the Leibniz University Hannover, founded in 1831, about 21.000 students are today enrolled in the natural and engineering sciences, the arts and social sciences and in law and economics.

The 75 fields of study offer a future-oriented education for young academics. Study at the Leibniz University Hannover provides not only academic qualification, but also a practical look at interdisciplinary network systems. The Leibniz University Hannover has at its disposal a high scientific potential. This is demonstrated by numerous research activities. The university concentrates on nationally and internationally competitive areas in order to sharpen its profile. Its research is strengthened by cooperation with internationally prominent universities and research centers.

The Center for Health Economics Research Hannover (CHERH) is a research center of the LUH supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Medical doctors, economists and health scientists at the LUH and the MHH work here together for BREATH and the DZL on health economic topics.

The overall aim of CHERH is the health economic analysis and optimization of health care structure in Germany.

The main research areas lie in the analysis of routine data from the statutory health insurance, health economic evaluations taking into account questions of distribution and the recording of patient reported outcomes.
