The Center for Health Economics Research Hannover (CHERH) is a partner of BREATH. Here, medical doctors, economists and health scientists at the Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) and at Hannover Medical School (MHH) carry out research together on health economic issues.

The main aim of CHERH is the health economic analysis and optimization of health care structures in Germany. The main areas of research are the analysis of routine data from the statutory health insurance companies, health economic evaluations with due regard to questions of distribution and the recording of Patient Reported Outcomes.

At BREATH, scientists from CHERH work together with scientists from the Institute for General Practice at the MHH to analyze the primary medical care situation of patients with COPD over the course of time (longitudinally).
